It is a made up word that refers to furry cute creatures that i know (pets of mine and neighborhood pets), as well as crocheted creations and purely imaginary creatures that have been antrhopomorphized into a cohesive pantheon. Each has their own story and invented personality as well as mythos to it.

Named for their proverbial 'moo cow' coloration, The Moocats are a group of alley cats that live in the neighborhood where I live. They are naughty.
The Stuffed Beeps comprises a panoply of crocheted terrestrial and extra terrestrial creatures of many species. The D-Sisters, Guillermo the Isopod and Stella are a few examples.
